Today I am visiting the little girl Gabby in the hospital. This time it will be the two of us so that will be nice. Maybe I’ll get to help her more since we’ll get in some more one-on-one time.
I am looking forward to it. I am bringing her some water color pencils to do some art. I am also bringing her a journal of her own. I think it will be great for her. Journals are so great to let your thoughts, feelings, words or art out.
I think when I was about 8,9 years old I started writing my thoughts. I wrote about what was going through my mind at the moment. I wrote about my sister being sick. I wrote about things I wouldn’t necessarily tell anyone else. It really helps getting things out.
Your journal is yours and it could be full of pages with drawings, your words, quotes, letters, goals, dreams, and even write stories. It really is great to have somewhere to escape. I think it will really help Gabby. Although she is not able to psychically leave her hospital room she can be in her journal world.
I am very much looking forward to seeing her today!
